Vet Lunch Program

Our Mission

Provide a monthly program to allow Veterans who participated in an Honor Flight Mission as an honored Veteran an opportunity to meet, renew friendships, socialize, and have lunch.

Eligibility and Responsibility

All Veterans who participated in an Honor Flight Mission as an honored Veteran—either a Flightless or D.C. Mission conducted by a Hub of the Honor Flight Network—are eligible to participate. The Veteran’s spouse, significant other, Guardian, or required transportation companion is also eligible. All participants are responsible for their own transportation and associated costs.

All Villages Honor Flight (VHF) members who volunteer to support the program, as well as the VHF Management Team and Directors, are eligible to participate. Their spouse, significant other, or required transportation companion is also eligible. All participants are responsible for their own transportation and associated costs.

VHF does not provide transportation for this program. Volunteers of the VHF Veteran Lunch Program shall not offer transportation while acting in any lunch volunteer capacity.

Reservations

1. 1. Reservations ARE REQUIRED for the VHF Vet Luncheon held on the second Thursday of every month.
   2.  Three weeks prior to the lunch an email  announcing the opening of reservations is sent to all Veterans, in our database, who have been on a Honor Flight Mission as a honored Veteran.
   3. Simply reply to that email to make  a reservation. Please include the names of all attendees and indicate whether they are the Honored Veteran or Honored Veteran’s Guardian.
   4.  Reservations are on a first come basis and fill quickly.

Menu

The menu varies month to month. Example entrées include Lasagna, Meatloaf, Pork Tenderloin, Chicken and Gravy, and Pot Roast.
All entrées are served with appropriate sides, a roll, salad, and dessert.
Iced tea, hot tea, and coffee are provided.
